Indications and uses
- Treatment of a serious susceptible Gram-negative bacterial infection requiring ceftazidime with beta-lactamase inhibition.
- Treatment of susceptible complicated urinary-tract infection when both components are indicated.
- Treatment of susceptible lower-respiratory-tract infection when the complete combination is appropriate.
- Treatment of susceptible intra-abdominal, skin or soft-tissue infection with additional anaerobic therapy when required.
- Culture-directed specialist use only when susceptibility supports the ceftazidime–tazobactam combination.
