Indications and uses

• Improvement of kidney function in adults with hepatorenal syndrome and rapidly worsening kidney function.
• Short-term reversal treatment of hepatorenal-syndrome-associated acute kidney injury under intensive monitoring.
• Treatment of hepatorenal syndrome after correction of reversible causes and appropriate volume expansion.
• Management of acute oesophageal variceal bleeding where this remains an approved local indication.
• Temporary vasoactive control of variceal haemorrhage together with urgent endoscopic and supportive treatment.
