Indications and uses
- Improvement of glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes requiring combination therapy.
- Reduction of post-meal glucose elevation through intestinal carbohydrate-absorption control.
- Reduction of fasting glucose through the metformin component.
- Adjunct to diet and exercise when either component alone is inadequate.
- Maintenance treatment only when the alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, metformin and any included sulfonylurea are all appropriate.
