Indications and uses
- Treatment of a confirmed bacterial infection susceptible to both cefixime and ofloxacin.
- Treatment of a susceptible complicated urinary-tract infection only when the dual-antibacterial combination is justified.
- Treatment of another serious susceptible infection only where this fixed-dose combination is locally authorised.
- Culture-directed use after assessment of fluoroquinolone and cephalosporin resistance.
- Avoid use when either antibacterial component is unnecessary or the likely pathogen is not susceptible.
