Indications and uses
- Treatment of susceptible infection involving beta-lactamase-producing organisms when cefixime with sulbactam is locally authorised.
- Treatment of susceptible respiratory-tract bacterial infection requiring both components.
- Treatment of susceptible urinary-tract bacterial infection requiring beta-lactamase inhibition.
- Culture-directed treatment of another infection susceptible to the complete combination.
- Use only when both cefixime and sulbactam are clinically justified by the suspected or confirmed organism.
