Indications and uses
- Treatment of susceptible respiratory-tract bacterial infection involving beta-lactamase-producing organisms.
- Treatment of susceptible sinusitis or otitis media when cefpodoxime with clavulanate is appropriate.
- Treatment of susceptible urinary-tract bacterial infection requiring beta-lactamase inhibition.
- Treatment of susceptible skin or soft-tissue bacterial infection when both components are justified.
- Use only when the likely or confirmed pathogen is susceptible to the complete cefpodoxime–clavulanate combination.
