Indications and uses
- Treatment of susceptible non-invasive intestinal bacterial infection.
- Treatment of travellers’ diarrhoea caused by susceptible non-invasive Escherichia coli where approved.
- Management of diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome where this strength and regimen are approved.
- Reduction of intestinal bacterial overgrowth symptoms when specifically diagnosed and prescribed.
- Use only for a locally approved intestinal indication and not for invasive diarrhoea with fever or blood.
