- Reduction in recurrence of overt hepatic encephalopathy in adults.
- Maintenance reduction of hepatic-encephalopathy recurrence under specialist supervision.
- Management of diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome where rifaximin 550 mg is approved.
- Short-course treatment of eligible IBS-D symptoms according to approved prescribing information.
- Use only for a rifaximin-susceptible or specifically approved intestinal indication.
